Ex Lifeboat HF Baily

Ex Lifeboat H F Bailey, the first motor lifeboat to bear the famous name and served at Cromer, Norfolk 1924 to 1937 when she was replaced with a twin engined boat bearing the same name.
This vessel then moved to Margate in Kent and was renamed JB Proudfoot.

She served there with distinction including being present at the Dunkirk evacuation 1940 in the hands of her own crew.

The vessel is currently in Spain and is offered to a good home at a very realistic cost as the return transport costs could be up to £6k.

The Gardner engine is reported as running fine but the cabin woodwork requires restoration.

While the published information on each vessel, provided by the current owners is deemed to be correct and given in good faith, Nelsons Boats cannot guarantee any or all of the details are correct.
All potential buyers must fully satisfy themselves as to the vessels suitability for their intended purpose and a survey to determine the structural and mechanical condition, as far as can be determined, is recommended.
