Elliot Gill, formerly the Runswick lifeboat, twin screw Liverpool class 35 ft 6in in service 1953 / 1974.
Boat in original outward configuration
recently refitted with twin Lister diesels.

The Elliott Gill – Historic Ship RNLB O.N. 918 Liverpool Class Lifeboat. LOA 35’6” Beam 10’8” Built 1953 Groves and Guttridge, Cowes, Isle of Wight.

Recently restored to a high standard by Craig Glassonbury and relaunched May 2022, Elliott Gill is of double diagonal mahogany construction and retains many original parts. Elliott Gill has two recently, reconditioned 40hp. Lister Alpha Diesels.

RNLI provenance, full inventory, BSS Safety Certificate. She operated as the Runswick Lifeboat from 1954 to 1970 and was then transferred to the Reserve Fleet. The ELLIOTT GILL was withdrawn from service in 1970 after 39 launches and saving 24 lives.

Commercial potential as a charismatic trip boat and great enhancement to any harbour.

Brothers Brickwood a pulling and sailing 35 ft self righting lifeboat stationed at Brightstone Grange, Isle of Wight 1907 and later Scarborough.
Excellent conversion to liveaboard cruiser
Major refit 1999 and attended the RNLI 175 anniversary parade at Poole.
Hull stripped and refurbished, seen to be in excellent condition, new Ford engine, fuel tank and internal outfitting.
Vessel currently in Torrevieja Marina, Spain. Capable of making passage through canal system back to UK

RNLB Southern Africa

Southerrn Africa formerly the Dover lifeboat 1949 / 67, reserve service to 1981. Sold to Uruguay as lifeboat Valpariso 111.
Retired and returned to the UK in private ownership late 1990’s where she was refitted with Ford 6 cylinder diesels as she had been in her later years with RNLI.
Southern Africa is the last 51 foot BARNETT class lifeboat built and the only one with alloy superstructure.
The vesssel is unique in that it is not converted and appears in largely original layout, a rare gem.
Owner is keen to see her find a new home and be fully restored.

RNLB JOHN RUSSELL formerly the Montrose and Frazerburgh lifeboat 1926
She was named John Russell in 1926 by the Duchess of York and King George.

She was built in Cowes by H Saunders, she served her time in Scotland and saved 305 souls.

She is up and running, sea worthy fully off grid, an excellent house boat and live aboard.

Her hull is double diagonal and made out of honduras mahogany and in excellent condition.

She is a single screw with a gardener 4 cylinder engine.

She has a gas boiler, shower, hot water, 24v solar for the engine start batteries and 12v solar for the leisure batteries, hydrolic steering, 2x bilge pumps and 1x manual bilge pump, fridge freezer, 230v generator, garmin navigation, cctv, internet, air compressor and whistle and a wood burner.

Parts of the decking needs to be replaced.

Various woodwork needs to be replaced and repaired and she needs painting.

RNLB DOROTHY AND PHILIP CONSTANT

Dorothy and Philip Constant, Former RNLI 42ft Watson Class Lifeboat. Built 1962, Groves and Guttridge. 2x Gardner 4LW engines/gearboxes.

Ex Shoreham Lifeboat, approx. 27 years of service before being used as a passenger boat in Orkney, a training vessel in Norfolk before being used by the current owner, a boat builder, as a workboat and towing vessel.

She is always kept in a “on the button” condition. She is fitted with a SidePower bow thruster which makes her very manoeuvrable. Mechanically and structurally she’s in good condition although the superstructure is badly in need of a repaint.

Mainly original except for the forward accommodation that has been stripped out for a refit. The shelter has been fitted with a removable canvas extension that makes bad weather cruising more comfortable.

She is booked into dry dock w/c 23rd May for one week and viewing of the underwater hull can be arranged.
