The Elliott Gill – Historic Ship RNLB O.N. 918 Liverpool Class Lifeboat. LOA 35’6” Beam 10’8” Built 1953 Groves and Guttridge, Cowes, Isle of Wight.
Recently restored to a high standard by Craig Glassonbury and relaunched May 2022, Elliott Gill is of double diagonal mahogany construction and retains many original parts. Elliott Gill has two recently, reconditioned 40hp. Lister Alpha Diesels.
RNLI provenance, full inventory, BSS Safety Certificate. She operated as the Runswick Lifeboat from 1954 to 1970 and was then transferred to the Reserve Fleet. The ELLIOTT GILL was withdrawn from service in 1970 after 39 launches and saving 24 lives.
Commercial potential as a charismatic trip boat and great enhancement to any harbour.
